Donahue Will Speak With Blache
Terry Donahue will meet with Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Greg Blache regarding the 49ers head coaching vacancy. Donahue received permission to speak with Blache late Friday and will conduct the interview on Monday.
Blache joins Jim Mora, Romeo Crennel, Brad Childress and Ted Cottrell as NFL coordinators who have interviewed for the position.
Blache is a highly regarded 15-year NFL coaching veteran, Greg Blache begins his fourth season as defensive coordinator for the Bears.
In 2001, Blache molded his young crew into one of the top defensive units in the NFL, producing the top-ranked scoring defense in the League, allowing only 203 points in 16 games (12.7 points per game) which ranks third in Bears history for a 16-game schedule behind only the 1985 and 1986 Bears.
