Compasion, guilt, neither are there
He fights to win, I pay the cost
As slowly, bits of me are lost
It scares me when he is released
What if 1 day, I stay, the beast
But the longer I resist
The stronger that he does insist
That no one who is in his way
Is left to fight another day
And so for now, I hold him in
But fear that it will begin
And I'll be watching as before
As those before him hit the floor
Is he the man or is it me
The lines are blured n hard to see
Been taught the way that I should live
To love and care, and to forgive
But up till now what have I gained
In a cruel world should I be tamed
Or should I fight to get ahead
Feed the demons? Or be fed?
Fight for love or love the fight
Join the wrong or do the right
How long until I loose the choice
