One of the best ways to find out what a Staffie is like is to ask people who have never owned one but have spent time with others who have. Why? Because try as they might, owners can´t be objective. And when it comes down to it, they make all breeds sound alike: Intelligent, loyal, affectionate and "great with the kids." Doesn´t that just about describe every dog thats ever lived?
A lot of ppl who may have not seen a Staffie before don´t know what it is. Nevertheless, they think they do: They think its one of those vicious pit bulls. It may take more than the owners assurance to convince them that it isn´t, but once they realise it isn´t a pit bull, they then begin to discover that a Staffie is a friendly, patient, muscle packed family pet.
