About the Corps....
Most, by now, know much about the history of the Boghall & Bathgate Caledonia Pipe Band. You can find out more about us by visiting our official website: www.boghallandbathgate.com.

The foundations of the current Boghall Corps were put in place away back in 1977 by the World famous DM Tom Brown.
Tom was teaching the then Novice Corps that included some of the current line up. Inc. LD. Gordon Brown, Neil Cranston & Tom Egerton. He took over as LD of the G2 Corps in 78. The band & Corps were promoted to G1 in 1980.

Throughout the 80's, Tom & the corps went on to win championship after championship, inc, 4 world titles and became the 1st corps to win the Alex Duthart trophy for champion of champion drum corps.

Gordon Brown, Tom's son, took over the reigns as Leading Drummer in 1991 and has carried on the fine tradition of winning championships.

One of the most rewarding things about the Boghall Corps set up is it's training system. The young corps over the past 30 odd seasons have won their fair share of silver wear. Going back to the 1st Novice band in 77 who won the grand slam of 5 major drumming prizes.
