The name PERASTUM was mentioned in 1326 year. Turks has never been occupied this sity,even they kept all BOKA. Many famous writers wrote about Boka Kotorska but the unknown seamen and wayfarers also took to writing to describe that ´table of beauties´ appearing in front of them while sailing into one of the Boka´ stone towns. Long ago an unknown wayfarer from Germany wrote down: You have Perast,and what do we have?

Located opposite the Veripe straits,in a part of bay resembling lake in which two islets,Our Lady of the Rocks and Saint George,lie just like two white swans opposite Perast to be admired as sight before one even knows anything about their rich past and strange legends.

Today it is a quiet town,whose ´stony eternal dream´ cannot,as the travelogue writers say,be compared to silence in any other town. As Frano Alfirevic,a poet from Boka,vividly described -... ´it is an orgy of silence of the whole bay,a solitude with rhythm,with breathing,so that we feel each sound and voice falling in it as remote,as if of a strange color´.
