Quick insight into The Bantams!
Bradford City was formed in 1903/04 season. That means this year, is Bradford´s centenary year! Bradford have had their fair share of good times, and bad time´s. We won the F A Cup in 1911, when Newcastle were beaten after a replay. Funny thing is that in 1911, the F A Cup was actually made in Bradford! Of course, Bradford have been promoted a number of time´s, as well as been relegated. Bradford have even been in the Premiership. The first season we were lucky to stay up, we only stayed up because we beat Liverpool 1-0 at Bradford. The following year we were relegated. Bradford have also been to Wembley, beating Notts County in the second division play off final. We have had our bad times tho.......
May 11th 1985, and Bradford had won the 3rd division. The final game of the season and Bradford were playing Lincoln City. That day Bradford had been given the 3rd division trophy . The game was been shown live on tv. Just before half time, a fire took hold in the main stand. The main stand at the time was wooden, and work was due to start on the Monday to replace the stand. The result of the fire resulted in 56 people losing their lives. What should have been a day where every Bradford fan was happy turned into a day of terror. The fire took hold that fast, no-one really stood a chance.
