Bboying started in the early 1970's. Dancers inspired by dj's putting "breaks" in the records while blazing out the best beats. Bboy's would dance to the breaks in the song. Giving a unique element of using the music. Using every beat to thier advantage. Thanks to people like; grand master flash, dj cool hurk, afrikaan bambaata, james brown, mc hammer and many other we have what we ball Bboying. Every artist had different styles.
Bboy's can dance to any music. But the best is something called break beats. Breaks consist of; electro, techno, drum 'n bass, funk, disco, old school hip hop and even some elements of jazz. Old school breaks are stil used to this day as Bboy's respect the history. New school breaks are stil being produced by people like; dj nas'd, esone, dj woodoo, jay-rock, dj cutnice and more. Bboying started in the uk. But very quickly spread and now is a world event. There is a Bboy crew in every county in the world.
Many competitions get hosted all over the world. Naming a few;freertyle session, uk Bboy championships, redbull bcone, lords of the floor, Bboy unit and the biggest event to any Bboy. Battle of the year(boty). Some of the pioneers of Bboying is; crazy legz, kenswift, crazy kujo. And just to give honour to a few of the legends of today; hong10, lilou, lil ceng, the end, bruce lee, physix, billy boy, taisuke, wing, only to name a few...
