Getting started/tips
Things you can do to kick off your new life
First thing is find a love for breaking. All Bboy's and bgirl's that are keeping it real love Bboying. Nothing compares to it. This wil take alot out of you its hard work and painful but the best vibe and culture ever... And know your history. Never forget where it started. Respect the legends

Try collect video clips, of show's and battles...try find a crew you admire and a Bboy or bgirl you look up to. Collect break beats they are well needed to know for when you start battling plus its the best music ever! ! Haha.

Try find a Bboy crew in your area that you can have practice session with. Breakers haven't got big ego issues they all started off from scratch and know how hard it is. They'l help and push you to the next level. Try get video's and beats from them or ask me il list some site's you can download it from. Push hard. This stuff never gets easy. You must push with everything you got.
Safety- try get some padding. Wrist bands, elbow guards, knee guards, bandages. Anything you can use as support. Gloves are to choice. Some like it some don't. And get a helmet. This is a key source to practicing headspin without going bald which alot of Bboy's are Haha... Skateboard helmets are flat and solid so work perfectly. Safety gear helps and no its not dorky. Plus when you don't break yourself you'l be dancing better than the other people
Warm up- spend at least 20 minutes warning up. Don't skip this, top rock and basic other moves are good to warm up and for practice. Walking on your hands warm up your shoulders well. Once you warned up move along
Stretching- spend at least 30 minutes stretching every muscle you can think of... Each stretch must be held for 30seconds at least. Some stretches are more important. Like splits is good for power moves. Lower back for hollow backs. Taking a extremely warm bath then stretching as you get out wil help you. Hold the most important stretches for up to 2minutes if you can. Stretch after you finished dancing too. Just a quick stretch. Just for a cooldown
Now to the dancing:-P toprock, footwork and freezes are pretty basic at understanding. When it comes to power moves, floats and flips i suggest you watch as many video's and read many tutorials til you totally understand the move. Things the mind understand the body can do. You need to think and understand the move first. So try figure it out. And most of all fall in love with the dance.
