We dont all live next to a stream or spring so your tap will be fine. Hold your crystal under the running water and close your eyes. Visualise black negetive energy emitting from your crystal and that it is being filled with white positive energy. When you feel your crystal is filled with white light your task is done. Warning: this can be very draining you may need to eat and rest afterwards. Some crystals desolve or are friable in water, to cleanse these you must use a cleansing stone such as citrine or carnelian, if you carry a piece of one of these in a bag of tumbled stones you will never have to cleanse them again, they will always be ready for dedication.
