The UK-Pool Festival will take place at Wakefield\\\\\\\\´s New Triangle club over the new weekend dates of January 30th-February 1st 2004.
The event has been rescheduled to suit many players who were unable to attend on the original dates as they were so close to the Christmas period.
The last festival was a resounding success and we expect much of the same in 2004.
The events of the weekend are as follows
Friday 30th January: 8pm start. UK-Pool Open Championship
Entry fee £30 Professionals, £20 Amateurs,£10 Ladies & Juniors
£1,000 total prize fund. Best of 9 frames up to Semi-finals best of 11 and final best of 13
Winner £400, R/up £200, Semi finalists £100, Quarter finalists £50.
Event will be played down to semi-finals and finished on Sunday.
Saturday 31st January: 11.00am start. UK-Pool Amateur Championship
Entry fee £15, £7 Ladies & Juniors
£600 total prize fund. Best of 7 frames up to Quarter-finals best of 9, Semi-finals best of 11 and the Final best of 13.
Winner £250, R/up £150, Semi finalists £50, Quarter finalists £25.
Event will be played down to Quarter-finals and finished on Sunday.
Saturday 31st January: 11.30am start. UK-Pool Invitational Masters Championship
Entry fee £200 Professionals, £100 Amateurs. Limited to 24 Players. £3,600 total Prize Fund.
Winner £1,500, R/up £700, Semi finalists £350, Quarter finalists £150.
Best of 29 frames up to Semi-finals best of 33. Final best of 35 Frames.
Event played down to semi-finals and finished on Sunday.
Winner breaks from semi-finals. Run the racks winner gets £100 for most consecutive racks.
Saturday 31st January: 1pm start. UK-Pool Mixed Open Championship
Open to Ladies & Juniors only. Entry Fee £10. All entry money will be paid out.
Event will be played down to Semi-finals and finished on Sunday. Best of 9 frames throughout.
Sunday 1st February Finals day schedule and order of play.
11am: Open Semi-finals on 2 tables. Best of 11 frames.
12pm: Masters Semi-finals on 2 tables. Best of 33 frames.
1pm: Amateur Quarte-finals on 4 tables. Best of 9 frames.
2pm: Open Final. Best of 13 frames.
2pm: Mixed Open Semi-finals on 2 Tables. Best of 9 frames.
3pm: Amatuer Semi-finals on 2 tables. Best of 11 frames.
3pm: Masters Final. Best of 35 frames.
4pm: Amateur Final. Best of 13 frames.
4pm: Mixed Open Final. Best of 11 frames.
Presentations planned for 5pm. All timings subject to change.
FLYERS WILL BE RUN THROUGHOUT THE WEEKEND WHEN TIME ALLOWS.
All events will be played to World Rules. The club will open at 9.30am over the weekend and open till late. Hot and cold food served all day which includes a breakfast bar, big screen TV, Sky Sports, good parking area and accommodation very close to the club and with the very popular night life just around the corner Wakefield is just the place to be to start the new year!
The organisers decision will be final over the course of the weekend in all events. Organisers are Darren Appleton, Steve Bradley and Mel Harley.
