Davids Heart

I used to live life to the fullest
it made me think that I'm the coolest
Till I met my weakness in pain
my white had a big black stain

I turned around in vain
I thought they were insane
they told me of love
they showed me the way

I was narrow and uncomfortable
My road, it was easy, wide and comfortable
Where was I going?
With scales on my eyes

I thought I was big brave and strong
I saw them as weak and dead
I was so wrong, they were right
my soul was black, and theirs were white

until I saw my fault
I felt their love
I fell on my knees and asked for help
they answered
how embraced I felt

brace yourselves
here comes the shock
I found the truth
I found the Lord
I...found...Jesus!!!

I will never let Him go
I love Him so
He's my King
He's my best Friend ever
I've got Jesus fever...

I'm no coward
I'm the man
I'm no yellow belly
I'm saved
I'm not crazy or dead
I'm a fool for Christ
I'm no chicken
I'm David's heart...
