Un millonario ofrece una fiesta en una de sus mansiones y, en un determinado momento, pide que la música pare y dice, mirando hacia la piscina donde cría cocodrilos australianos:
- A quien se tire a la piscina, consiga atravesarla y salga vivo, le daré todas mis riquezas: mis coches, mis aviones, mis mansiones…
En ese momento, alguien salta a la piscina...
La escena es impresionante: lucha intensa, el intrépido se defiende como puede, sostiene la boca de los cocodrilos con pies y manos, tuerce la cola de los reptiles… Después de algunos minutos de terror y pánico, sale el valiente hombre, lleno de arañazos, golpes y casi desnudo.
El millonario se aproxima, lo felicita y le pregunta:
- ¿ Dónde quiere que le entregue los coches y los aviones?
- Gracias, pero no los quiero – responde el hombre magullado.
- ¿Y las mansiones? – pregunta extrañado el millonario.
- Tengo una hermosa casa, no preciso de las suyas. Puede quedarse con ellas. No quiero nada que sea suyo.
Impresionado, el millonario pregunta:
- Pero si usted no quiere nada de lo que ofrecí, entonces ¿qué quiere?
Y el hombre responde irritado:
- ¡Encontrar al desgraciado que me empujó a la piscina!
... Y es que somos capaces de realizar tantas cosas de las que nosotros mismos no nos creemos capaces… que hemos de reconocer que, en ciertos casos, es muy útil un empujoncito.
