Language mystery behind the Ants

Professor Robert Hickling has spent many years researching insects and record sound vibrations that they release. However, the materials obtained can not be declared until he was able to record the sounds that come from ants. He intends to examine the ants in the nest. They did not find a better method than to follow the sounds of ants.

However, the thing that surprised scientists is that the frequency of the sounds that are released ants vary from one ant to another ant, and from a single ant species with other species of ants. There are twelve thousand species in the world of ants on earth, beyond the human race. In front of this incredible amount of researchers puzzled about how they match all the sounds.

Various sounds can be recorded with a successful ant, and the parts of this research was published in the magazine Journal of Sound and Vibration in 2006, and it is the first time people can actually hear the sound of ants! These researchers published a lot of research and the most important thing is about communication between the ants with the title 'Analysis of Communication Acoustics By Ants' in the Journal of the Acoustical Society of Amarican Magazine.

The researchers showed that ants exceed us in acoustic communication. The scientists expect that the ants use antennas to send and receive sound vibrations. Ants strengthen the voice signals received as tools of sophisticated receiver. Moreover, the ants get rid of the sounds that exceed the limit, so that it becomes filtration or clarification of the characteristics of the sound to another. This is a highly advanced communications system, which has been unknown to scientists, and they only discovered a few years ago.

Scientists are trying to capture the acoustic cues that say the ants. However, they distinguish four kinds of sounds after observing for years. Ants use specific acoustic signals in the release it when angry. Ant to give a warning, then he issued a call can be received, understood, and his friend responded immediately. Scientists say that these ants are like us, they carry out their tasks efficiently. While working, the ants talk to each other and said just like humans. We found that ants organizing the process of collecting food and other tasks through specific sounds and various commands that they secrete, while other ants to hear and respond.

When ants attack a caterpillar, then he issued a scary voice. The voices are really not understandable, and they have a meeting like humans. Listen to voice an ant when attacking a caterpillar. . (Click here)

Phil De Vries found that insect release weak sound vibrations that can be distinguished by the ants. Beetles sucking out sugary substance that ants preferred. These insects spend vibration during his work, so that ants often trapped as prey. Acoustic vibrations is a means of communication among insects.

Robert Hickling, a leading researcher said, 'Ants do not react to the human voice and not affected by it. But if we turn to him the appropriate vibrations, then the ant is affected by it and respond. This means that ants have their own language.
