INSTALLING JAVA FILES
ok ive seen many problems with users and Java applications. there is two ways:
THE FIRST WAY
the original way in the book (for people without fexplorer)
the original way is to put them on your phone and go to the applications in the extras folder. have your memory card in your N-gage and put them in the E:/nokia/Installs/<JAVA_APP_NAME>. take care as you need to put each .jar or .jad file IN THEIR OWN DIRECTORY otherwise you will get a applications system error. then you can select your java file and install.
THE SECCOND WAY
using fexplorer
the seccond way is much better because you wont get the errors with the first way if you do it wrong.
put the java files on your MMC. putting them in the e:/nokia/installs directory is reccomended like the first way. also after install the original files will be moved like in the first way. i have not tested installing from other directorys so use at your own risk!... hey its your own risk anyway! lol
you can put the java files anywhere you like and they dont have to be in separate directorys. just as long as you get to them in fexplorer. once you have found you java file in fexplorer just select to open it. it will load applicaions and ask to install the file... you should know the rest.
Note that java files are removed from e:/nokia/installs directory and placed in the MMC card or the device memory (depending on whee you select to install to) after install. i have not tested it in other direstorys so i dont know what happens! keep all files on your pc just in case for backup.
