36. HIV RISK THRU MASTURBATION
36. HIV RISK THRU MASTURBATION

Dear Dr. Luv,

Q) Have there been any cases of someone getting HIV by getting semen on his hand via mutual masturbation? What if the person had a torn cuticle or an open piece of skin?

A) Mutual masturbation is not an HIV transmission risk according to conventional medical thinking...even in the scenario you describe unless the wound/sore/cut is open and bleeding. HIV is more easily passed sexually though unprotected intercourse. HIV must find specific target cells to infect and it cannot infect skin. Focus your attention on using condoms for all intercourse and you'll stay HIV-free.

Dr. Luv
