It is easily accessible by road and rail and has large number of hotels ranging from star category to reasonably priced ones. The must visit sites are - the Lonavala lake, Bushi dam, Tiger's leap, Barometer hill, Valvan dam, Tungarli lake etc. Lonavala is also famous for its =CHIKKI=, a local sweet.

The another famous hill resort KHANDALA just 5kms. From Lonavala.The charming resort is smaller and quieter as compared to lonavala. Refer < aati kya khandala > song.
