A couple of yrs ago now one of our resident swans was killed. which was believed to be the work of a dog. It was a terriable killing. Police tried to find out exactly what happened. As they believed that someone was with the dog when it happened. It was a terriable time. U c it was one of a pair. the female was near by. It was believed the male was protecting her. they had been resident for quite a few years. people like myself have seen them breed seen babies they have produced. waited and watched every year to see if they would be successful parents. When the males body was found the head was nearby. so was the female still calling him. They had to remove her because she would continue to return to the spot where he died. After a few months they did try to reurn her but she still called for him. so they thought it fairer for her to go else where. back in the summer of last yr and onwards i had notice two swans back on the lake. one minute they were there the next the wasnt. i think they were being given a settling in period. today i was in the park and am happy to say the above picture i took today. We have two swans back again. so thought i would share this story with u. I find myself looking out for them just as i did with the other two. something good had to come out of the upset before.....
I did experience dis in reality...but it was not swans but it was ducks...they hatched eggs and d mother was non moving and not eating anything but for waiting their eggs to hatch and the amount of love and affection is so nice and a dog bite d mother...we helped d mother duckling wid an injection as it was crying in pain...we saved it...but we lived wid it to see dem grow big nd swim in a lake..too...wow. Thanks for sharing Maam ;-) http://satish35.peperonity.com/
