Na 12,5km zapadno od Kikinde,ususkan u postelji Panonske nizije,smestio se Idjos-selo vojvodjanskih frula i vina.
Sa nadmoskom visinom od 83m (u aluvijalnoj ravni-Bistrica 80m) spada medju najvise terene u severnom Banatu.Kao i kod svih vojvodjanskih sela i Idjos pripada usorenom tipu,dakle sa pravim ulicama i "starim" kucama koja po pravilu imaju 2 dvorista.Prema popisu iz 1991,selo je imalo 2276 stanovnika od kojih 98% cine Srbi.
