On the festival of lights - Diwali -preparing delicious sweets is a very old tradition. People indulgethemselves in making lip smacking sweets, to serve them to their guests and exchange asgifts. Ladoo is a very popular Indian sweet, which has a number of variety. Rawa ladoo isone such variant, which is easy to make as well as tastes delicious. By keeping the key ingredients (ghee, semolina and sugar) the same, you can bring in a number of variations to the rawa ladoo recipe. For instance, you may make use of other types of dry fruits such as walnuts, apart from cashew nutsand raisins. Sometimes, dried coconut is also added to the recipe. In the article, we have given the simple and basic recipeof rawa ladoo.

Rawa Ladoo Recipe
Ingredients

*. 2 cups Semolina (rawa)
*. 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
*. 1 cup Ghee
*. 1 tbsp broken Cashew Nuts
*. 1 tbsp Raisins, fried
*. 1 tsp Cardamom Powder, fried

Method

*. Heat 1 tsp. ghee in a pan and dry roast the rawa (semolina) till golden color.
*. Grind the fried rawa and powdered sugar in a mixer, to make a fine powder.
*. Heat the remaining ghee and add the powdered rawa, cashew nuts, raisins and cardamom powder. Mix thoroughly.
*. While still warm, make the mixture into small lemon-sized balls.
*. Cool the rawa ladoos and storethem in an airtight container.
