The Cure ist eine englische Rockband, die von Robert Smith (Gesang und Gitarre), Michael Dempsey (Bassgitarre) und Laurence ("Lol") Tolhurst (Schlagzeug) gegruendet wurde. Die Anfдnge der Formation lassen sich bis zum Jahr 1976 in das suedenglische Crawley zurueckverfolgen. Zur Zeit besteht die Band aus vier Mitgliedern: Robert Smith (Gesang und Gitarre), Simon Gallup (Bass), Jason Cooper (Schlagzeug und Perkussion) und Porl Thompson (Gitarre).
