** HANGNAIL: is the sliver of skin that breaks from the cuticle. It can be painful and unsightly. Massage your nails with cuticle cream and push back your cuticles with an orange stick also a cuticle pen.
** RIDGES: at the base of your nails may mean that you are too rough during your manicure. If you don't have manicures it could be a sign of anaemia (an iron deficiency). Eat more vegatables and have medical check up!
** WHITE SPOTS: reveal that you could be to hard on your cuticles and the white spot may be a bruise. Alternatively, it could be an indication of poor nutrition.
** PEELING NAILS: avoid antibacterial soaps. Ure oil-rich soap and keep moisturising your hands.
** Just after you've painted your nails- before they are completely dry - drop a tiny splash of oil onto the cuticke area. This helps seal the cutickes and prevents the polish from bleeding into them.
