*HISTORY OF THIS SONG*
2002, a year that I saw growth within my family. My younger sister, Holo, has been a strong tita to me she has been the one that I've observed to write this song.
While Incarcerated at MCCC (MAUI'S CORRECTIONAL FACILITY) I composed this song with my brother William `Billy` Kekona III housed in the same module and now to even mention the same cell . Overnight the song had a tune called the `hook`, it was totally an addicting melody. Module A, cell 23 is a memorable cell, a lot of other hits were also written there, like `GOD BLESS THE WOMAN`, In no time the melody was in the ears of many and on a daily basis it was often requested by the fellow brethren.
This song has been playing continuously on the air waves .
With the way many live their lives has become an unbelievable way of life, because 9 out of 10 people suffer the same reality, relationships broken, marriages broken, etc., and so simply the thoughts poured through my head as to writing it into an understanding and unforgettable hook that took the hearts of many into well parallel being with the unexpectable way of life today. A confused, painful and hurtful way of life.
So in conclusion, from a verse written as to being faithful to another, it has now become all of a sudden, a change, a seperated life from the one whom you don't really show any appreciation for, much less even saying, `I love you` to one another until being seperated, then and only then you start to realize the genuine love for one another and in most cases this point of realizing comes into place when its too late because you find out that the one you love so dearly has gone on with their lives and is either married or seeing another. This now is really the message. No matter what even though you have another, you now exercise the true meaning of love. Let live and let be, and that is totally fine and you have learn to accept it just the way it is. Because love is kind.
