Follow these steps to setup MXit :
Get correct GPRS settings:
MTN : Dial *123*13#
Vodacom : Dial *111# (Option 4 or 5)
CellC : Send an SMS containing SMARTDATA to 084 155 9911 (Costs R2.00)
Virgin Mobile: Go to the Virgin Mobile menu on your phone and select "Virgin Settings". When prompted to download the settings, reply "YES".
International users: Get the correct GPRS settings using the Nokia phone configurator
Make sure that the internet profile which you just received is set as the default profile.
(You should be able to set this in your "internet" or "connectivity" settings):
If you're on Vodacom: Select "Internet.GPRS", "Vodacom4me" or "Vodacom"
If you're on MTN: Select "MTN GPRS"
If you're on Cell-C: Select "Smartdata"
If you're on Virgin Mobile: Select "WAP-GPRS"
Download and install MXit:
Using your phone's default wap browser, go to
http://www.mxit.co.za/wap
Version to download : Nokia N95
If you experience connectivity problems try doing the following:
Make a change to your phone's application settings:
1. On your phone, go to "Menu" - "Tools" - "App. Mgr."
2. Select "Options"
3. Select "Settings"
4. Select "Software installation"
5. Change the setting from "Signed Only" to "All"
Disable your phone's 3G:
1. On your phone, go to "Menu" - "Tools" - "Settings" - "Phone" - "Network" - "Network Mode"
2. Select "GSM"
