~What is Wicca and Magick?~
This is how i and many other people like to define wicca and magick!
I want to start by defining spells!Just to quote the arch priestess and founder of the Circle of the African moon, Donna DarkWolf Vos she defines it as follows and i quote "spells are prayers on steroids!"Which is true because magick and spells are the twisting of fate to make it suite you by working with the following,the elements:Earth,Air Fire and Water,as well as the Gods and ur physical energy or Chi as the chinese like to call it!Its about visualising wat u want and asking the gods for it,its about directing personal energy into the open to achieve a certain goal!So why athames and wands?Its a means of getting the right mind set and to direct the energy more easily,for example the blade of the athame is made of metal which is a natural conductor!
Some people describe Wicca very loosely as witchcraft and paganism.It is however both but is defined a little differently, Wicca is religious magick its pagan in origin but pagans dont use magick as much as wiccans do,they have more dogma and rules to follow which wicca does not! its is earth based much like the pagan traditions and uses many of the pagan gods however much has been added to it since the dark ages!Its has evolved out of paganism.Vivian Crowly defines wicca as the old religion in the new millennium!We are strict nature lovers.....Much like a bunch of hiepies Crossed with harry potter!
