Easy Profile Switching
on S60
How do you usually switch
between General and Silent
profile? These two profiles are
probably the most used ones.
So it's likely that you have to
switch between them quite
often.
There are several ways you can
switch between General and
Silent mode. The easiest way is,
of course, to press Power
button and select the profile
using and key then press OK.
Another way is just to use
Power button only. Firstly, press
Power button once to bring up
the list of profiles. Secondly,
press Power button again
(probably several times) to
select the profile you want to
activate. Then press and hold
Power button for about 1
second to activate it.
S60 3.0 phones introduce new
features that allow us to switch
General and Silent faster. Go to
the idle screen (idle screen is
the screen where you see your
wallpaper). Then press and hold
# (hash) key for about 1
second. If your current profile is
General, it will be switched to
Silent; and vice versa.
