When "Pioneer 10" and "Pioneer 11" were launched to the outer planets and deep space, they carried with them a plaque (see image above) designed by Carl Sagan and Frank Drake,
and would tell any extraterrestrials who happened to stumble across either probe about humanity and where to find us.
