This just goes to show how much managers see their staff as a production line, and most people will jump when told leaving those who stand their ground 2 face the dire consequences. We had a system failure at work and they force us 2 go home, telling us we MUST work our time back next week on top of our normal hours. No notice or anything. If we dont, we wont get paid and will probably end up being dragged through the disciplinary procedure. They think they can do what they like and We'll have no power to stop it. The colleagues you think are standing in your corner slink off into the shadows as their backbone liquidises. I wouldn't have minded if they had stood behind me if only they had stood.
