SHEEPORAMA is dead, long live SHEEPORAMA. you may or may not bad aware that my original mywap site has been shut down by the MyWap people. at first they said that it was due to the site containing illegal pornography. hmmm. ok, that´ll be the HUMOUR about human - sheep relations then. you know what i mean, the material that a lobotomised mollusc could see isn´t meant to be taken at all seriously.
it gets better. then they said that the site was not suitable for minors, and the humour of the site worked against the interests of the mywap community as a whole. ok, SHEEPORAMA was adults only. i put a notice on it to that effect months before the MyWap team did so. which begs the question, why declare to the world the site is unsuitable for minors and then remove it because its unsuitable for minors. they obviously dont have much faith in their warning notices. which makes the whole point of those notices... what, exactly? as for SHEEPORAMA being detrimental to the interests of the whole mywap community, is that justified? am i responsible for hacking other sites? no. am i guilty of starting fights with other site owners? no. am i peddling REAL filth? am i influencing people to do things that could get them in REAL trouble?
i should certainly hope not.
finally, the MyWap people said that SHEEPORAMA would be restored provided that certain ´sheep hate´ passages were removed and the approach of the site in general was toned down a bit. ok. ´sheep hate´ is the one thing SHEEPORAMA never has been guilty of. the sheep hate comment suggests the site has been removed without those in control having even looked at it. as for toning the site down, under british, european and international law i have the right to freedom of speech, freedom of expression and freedom of opinion provided i dont use my rights to deprive others of those same rights in any way.
recently, the MyWap people have been clamping down on standards of site content - a move which i believe to be admirable in theory and long overdue - and i feel that mistakes are being made. as a matter of curiousity, i trawled through the mywap community earlier today. there are sites airing views that are racist, that are extremely abusive against named individuals, there are sites containing literary material of a supposedly adult nature, some of which has more than a faint stench of illegality about it, sites promoting violence against women... the list goes on. and none of these sites is as blatantly tongue in cheek as SHEEPORAMA is and was.
i find it hard to believe that a site containing so called stories about 14 year old schoolgirls having sex with school teachers brings anything to the mywap community other than a tarnishing we should all feel cheapened by. apparently the graphic fantasies of perverts have warnings of adult content that actually work when for some reason SHEEPORAMA´S didn´t. apparently a site urging people to join a political party with a racist agenda is perfectly acceptable but words said in jest are not.
SHEEPORAMA, in its new home, will not change. the tone will not change. the humour will not change. and if compromising is what it takes to get my old site back up and running then it´ll be gone for good. i will not be singled out for being an individual with my own sense of humour and personality while sites that spout hate, filth and the like go uncensored.
