Talented actress Sabana Azmi has agreed to play the role of Shah Rukh Khan's mom in Karan Johar's fourth directional venture
"My Name Is Khan". Generally she never agrees to act in a role which isn't central. She refused the offer of Yash Raj Film's "Laag Chunari Mein Daag" last year.
Karan's first choice for the role was Joya Bachan. She acts as SRK's mother in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. But an unreliable source informed, it was Shah Rukh Khan who convinced his buddy to choose Shabana Azmi.
When Shabana was asked about her presence in the film she refused to say anything.
