Bollywood Badshah is shooting here for his upcoming home production Billo Barber. Billo Barber is a remake of box office hit Malyalam movie Katha Parayumbul which has recently also been remade in Tamil as Kuselan.
Never before did people of Pollachi see this kind of crowd though it is a common place for shooting of Kollywood films. People from Kuchi, Trichur, Bangalore & Coimbatore have been coming to catch a glimpse of their dearest actor. But due to a threat issued to SRK by Indian Mujahideen, the organisation that claimed responsibility for serial blasts in Ahmedabad and Hyderbad, he is now always surrounded by almost 100 policemen and some private bodyguards.
The top floor of Shakti Lodge, the motel where he is staying has been converted into his personal suite with special art-of-the-state security gadgets being used.
