Shah Rukh agrees to recieve Datukship

Shah Rukh Khan has agreed to accept the controversial Malaysian Datuk title bestowed upon him by the Malacca government for popularizing the beauty of the World Heritage Site in his movies.
Malacca chief minister Mohammad Ali Rustam said that SRK would be in Malacca to recieve the award in person from the Governor Mohd. Khalil Yaakob. "Shahrukh has agreed to accept the award and this message was conveyed to his office. But the date of the ceremony is yet to be finalised."
Mr.Rustam quoted was saying by star newspapers online edition on tuesday. He said all arrangements for the superstar's tour are being made by former finance minister Tun Khain Zuinuddin.
When he was asked about any chance of retracting the award giving followed by several protests from different sections, he replied,
"Certainly, there isn't. Shah Rukh Khan attracted tourists to Malacca from different parts of the world through his movies "One 2 Ka 4" & "Don". If the Government wanted this sort of advertisement on CNN, they had to pay million."
He also said that this might inspire the actor to shoot more movies there.
