Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi has netted around 25 crore over it's first weekend of 3 days (Fri-Sun). This is, however, the second biggest first weekend of 2008 after Singh Is Kinng.
It has done an excellent business in the major cities. Mumbai/Thane has seen business of 5 crore and the first week should see 7.50 crore (a new record). The film earns nearly 3 crore in Delhi & the figure should be over 4.50 after first week.
NGR, Noida, Ghazidbd & Faridabad sees business of 2 crore.
The film earns 33 lakhs in Lucknow and an impressive 75 lakhs in Kolkata while 31 lakhs in the indore multiplexes (Second biggest of the year).
Big centres of Pujab like Amritsar, Ludhiana, Chandigarh are also huge with 75 lakhs which is bigger than even Om Shanti Om, which is considered as the biggest grosser ever.
Bangalore sees a record business of over 1 crore.
On the whole, if the film can hold this kind of business, it will be the most profitable film of the year, without doubt.
