● THE THEORY OF PLATO ● - tazmohol

● THE THEORY OF PLATO ●
Question: The Tripartite soul..

ANSWER:
Plato Using the touch stone method, shows that forms of courage & justice are standards by which actions, persons & institutions of this world may be evaluated.
He comes to the point of Cultural reatativism.
The exponents of this 'Theory argue that every society, every primitive tribe & advanced civilization must be looked having an unique position with its own unique history & language.
It means that any society cann't be judged by outside standards .because every society has its own institutions of law, education, family, production, trade & religion.

ETHICAL REALIVISM: It is seen that moral concepts differ from one society to another because every society has its own cultural & historical background.
No society have can competition with other in respect of meeting standards of liberty, physical health, education, the form of cruelty, distribution of wealth, the form of cruelty, distribution of wealth, democratic practices.
Therefore no society can be judjed better or worse than another for its performance in different field of works.
The cultural & ethical relativism have disadvantages too.
As it is said that every society is individual & cannot be judged by other performances.
But this view point comes in clash with Nazi's cruelty on human being.
Though it can be condemned in view of humanity cries out such a disasterous situation.
Plato attacks the sophists for unable to recognize that human being share universal human standards such as of justice.
Human rights.
They have moral responsibilities whenever the universal & abslute standards of justice are crumbled down & suppressed.
