Lal Quila or the Red Fort is a marvelous monument which was built during the reign of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. This fort was built as a replacement capital palace, when Emperor Shah Jahan decided to shift from Agra to Delhi. Delhi became the capital city with Red Fort as the capital fort.
This beautiful red monument was completed
in the year 1648. The Lal Quila was the home
for the royal family. It was called as the
“Qila- i- Mubarak”.
