Batting with a confidence bordering on arrogance, young Virat Kohli made a mockery of the Sri Lankan total scoring a breath- taking hundred which keeps India's hopes alive in the Tri- series.
Not surprisingly, the 23-year old Kohli, whose 86- ball innings of 133 not out was punctuated by 16 fours and two sixes, went on to describe his knock as his career-best innings. "It has to be the best innings of my career. The kind of situation we were in, chasing 320 and also we needed a bonus point, so it was a crunch game and to play an innings like that at the right time, I am really, really happy about it," said Kohli.
Stressing about the importance of the victory for his team, Kohli said that everyone put in their best. "When you have one game to play, you need to give everything and we were able to do that and we can be satisfied," he said.
