Hi guys, Charlotte here,
I’ve just been thinking about my recent appearance on Jonathon Ross . Time flies! I had my first break on Jonathan Ross when I did the ‘Big Big Talent Show’ with him, so it was nice to see him again, the first time I was 11 years old. I told him he had dodgy hair! I really enjoyed the performance, I got to do it with a live band so that was really fun. All the road shows have been really good fun but pretty hard work because I’ve had to travel up and down the country and I haven’t had my weekends to myself, but the crowds have been great, Glasgow was really cool but mostly I loved doing Cardiff because it’s my hometown obviously. I got an amazing reception there, it was really cool, I was the last person on so everybody was pretty hyped up. It was absolutely amazing, I got to watch Daniel Bedingfield performing all these Party In The Park things as well and he’s one of my favourite artists so that was amazing, he was pretty cool!
I’m soo looking forward to the Cardfiff in-store! It will be great if anybody turns up! I’m going to perform an acoustic set, I don’t know if I’ll be doing it when I’m in London as well but definitely in Cardiff.
I’m really pleased ‘Crazy Chick’ has been so well- received. I think it’s gone really well, for a long time people forgot what I actually did, that I was actually a singer because there were so many pictures of me in the tabloids and things like that, people just thought I was an ‘it’ girl, so it’s nice to be out there singing and performing again and everyone’s reacted really well to the single so I’m just thankful to everyone for buying it.
‘Tissues and Issues’ is out soon , people! I’m really proud of the album, I think it’s really good personally so hopefully everything’s going to go well for it as well. I think the album’s a lot more diverse, there are a lot of different styles on there so there’s something for everyone on it I think. I’m a little bit nervous, but not too bad.
I’m really looking forward to the next single.‘Call My Name’ is one of my favourite songs on the album so I hope everybody else likes that one as much as me because I particularly like that one, I think it’s really sassy, it has really cool lyrics, it’s sexy, it’s a really fun time song that you can get up and shake your booty to!
People often ask me how I relax when I’m doing promo. It’s simple: I take my iPod with me everywhere, (well it’s actually Gav’s iPod but I’ve stolen it!) I take a few good books with me wherever I go so I’ve always got something to read, rather than the tabloid press! At the moment (on Gav’s iPod!) I’m listening to Gloria Estefan – Can’t Stay Away From You. I like R&B, I like 70’s disco, motown soul, cheesy 80’s, rock n roll (modern rock, not 50’s rock n roll). I like every type of music really, except the extremes, I don’t like heavy metal, I don’t like country and I don’t like Drum n Bass.
Recently in London I went shopping in Selfridges, because I forgot when I came up in the car from Cardiff that I still had my slippers on! I dropped off my suitcase in my hotel in Oxford Street and forgot that I had my slippers on! I was walking around Oxford Street wearing my slippers, I got a lot of strange looks!
Thanks to everyone who bought the single and who’s actively supported me. I hope that if you buy the album you really enjoy it, I’m really proud of it so thanks for your ongoing support,
Talk to you all again soon,
Love Charlotte X
